How can you be told when a table frees up at Les Grands Buffets?
The restaurant offers no alert of any kind: no notification, no email, no waiting list. That leaves only two methods: checking its booking site very often and at varied hours, or having availability watched by an automatic service that tells you.
That is the starting point: Les Grands Buffets states explicitly that it keeps no waiting list. A cancelled table simply returns to bookable stock, with nobody being told. So there is nothing to ask the restaurant for, and no number to call to join a queue.
Is checking the site by hand enough?

How does an automatic alert work?
A program queries the availability published by the restaurant continuously, and sends a text message as soon as a slot matches the requested criteria: date, sitting and number of guests. The message carries a direct link to the official site so you can book yourself.
