The service
How it works
You tell us which date or dates interest you. We check availability at Les Grands Buffets continuously, day and night. As soon as a table matches, you get a text message with a link to book yourself on the official site.
-
You set your criteria
Your dates, the sitting (lunch or dinner) and how many of you there are. A few screens, no account needed.
What you tell us
One or more dates, the sitting (lunch or dinner) and how many of you there are. These are exactly the three criteria the restaurant’s own site will ask you for when you book.
Then your mobile number, to receive the alerts. No account to create with us, no password: your payment is the sign-up.
-
We watch, around the clock
Our service checks availability continuously, day and night, right up to the date you are aiming for.
What we do next
The service checks the availability published by the restaurant continuously, day and night, until the date you are aiming for. The closer your date, the more frequent the checks.
We look at exactly the same information as any visitor to their site. We have no privileged access, and we never ask you for your login details at the restaurant.
-
You get a text message
As soon as a table matches, you are alerted by SMS with a direct link to book on the official site.
What you receive
A text message as soon as a slot matches your criteria, with the date, the sitting, the available times and a direct link to the official booking site.
From there, you do the booking, with your own account. And you have to be quick: a released table can be taken again within minutes.
What GetTable does not do
This matters as much as the rest, and it is better read before paying than discovered afterwards.
- We never book on your behalf. The service alerts you; the booking is done by you, on the restaurant’s site, with your account.
- We do not guarantee you the table. The alert says a seat exists at that moment. It then goes to whoever is quickest.
- We cannot make availability appear. If there is no cancellation on your date, there will be no alert, and you will be refunded.
- We are not Les Grands Buffets. GetTable is an independent service. The restaurant is neither a partner nor aware of it.
Our guarantee
If no alert was sent to you before the date you were aiming for, you are refunded in full, automatically. You have nothing to claim.
Once at least one alert has been sent, the service has been delivered.
What to know before starting an alert
Four things that genuinely change your odds, and that are better known before starting a watch than after.
Set up your account now
Create your account on the Les Grands Buffets website today, before you even start an alert. When the notification arrives you have a few minutes. An account that is already set up saves you thirty seconds — and here, thirty seconds decide it.
When to set your alerts
The restaurant asks for menus to be prepaid between 60 and 30 days before the meal. Bookings left unpaid are cancelled automatically 29 days out: that is the biggest wave of released tables. A second wave comes 11 days out, the last day to cancel and get the prepayment back. And cancellations land every day right up to the eve of the meal.
What it will cost you at the restaurant
When you book, if it is at least 37 days before the meal, you choose between cancellation cover at €5 per person (free cancellation until 11 days before, non-refundable) or a €20 per person deposit (deducted from the meal, not refunded if you cancel). At 37 days or less, cancellation cover is no longer offered. Always check the current terms on their site.
What this service is not
We alert you. We do not book on your behalf. The table goes to whoever is quickest: the alert improves your odds considerably, it does not guarantee you the seat. GetTable is an independent service, not affiliated with Les Grands Buffets.
