Frequently asked questions
Your questions about GetTable
GetTable watches availability at Les Grands Buffets in Narbonne and alerts you by text message as soon as a table frees up. The service does not book on your behalf, has no connection to the restaurant, and refunds you in full if no table freed up before your date.
The service
What GetTable does, and what it does not.
- Do you book the table for me?
- No. We alert you the moment a table frees up; you do the booking yourself on the official site, with your own account. The alert improves your odds considerably, but it does not guarantee you the seat.
- Do I need to create an account with you?
- No, never. No account, no password. Your payment is the sign-up. You are alerted by text message, and every message carries a link to stop everything.
- How long does the watch last?
- Until the date you are aiming for. It then stops by itself, with nothing to cancel. You can also end it at any time from any text message you have received.
- Will I get more than one alert?
- As many as there are slots matching your criteria, up to a daily cap meant to keep you from being flooded. A first alert does not end the watch.
- What if the alert reaches me too late?
- That is the real risk of the service, and it is better known upfront: a released table can be taken again within minutes. The watch carries on until your date, so other chances may come. Having already created your account with the restaurant is the best way to win the seconds that count.
Price and refunds
What you pay, when, and what happens if nothing frees up.
- Is this a subscription?
- No. You pay once. The watch runs until the date you are aiming for, then stops by itself. There is nothing to cancel.
- What happens if no table frees up?
- You are refunded in full, automatically, without having to ask. The refund goes out as soon as the watched date has passed with no alert having been sent to you.
- What if I got an alert but the table had already gone?
- The service was delivered: the order no longer qualifies for the automatic refund. The watch itself carries on until your date.
- Is the meal included in the price?
- No. What you pay for here is the watching and the alerts, nothing else. The meal, along with any deposit or cancellation cover, is paid directly to the restaurant under its own terms.
- What appears on my bank statement?
- The name Polar, who collects payment and invoices the order as the seller. GetTable never sees your card number.
Les Grands Buffets
Our relationship with the restaurant — that is to say, none.
- Are you affiliated with Les Grands Buffets?
- No. GetTable is a completely independent service, with no link or partnership with the restaurant. We take no commission on your bookings, and the restaurant is neither a partner nor aware of the service.
- Do you have privileged access to their availability?
- No. We look at exactly the same public information as any visitor to their site. Our only advantage is doing it continuously, day and night, without tiring.
- Do you ask for my login details at the restaurant?
- Never. We have no need of them, since we book nothing on your behalf. Be wary of any service that asks you for them.
Your data
What we keep, and what we do not do with it.
- Are my details sold on?
- Never. Your details are used only to send you your alerts. You can stop everything at any time from any text message you have received.
- What happens to my number after the watch?
- It is deleted within days of your last watched date, once any refunds have been settled. The database keeps only current activity; the detail is set out in our privacy policy.
